HEQ5 SkyScan Controller Question

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew if you could punch in the coordinates of an object rather than its name.  There are some objects in my sky atlas that don't give a name but do give rough coordinates based on a grid.  Does the HEQ5 Hand Controller have this capability?  Any insight would be appreciated.

Best,

Jackstay

Certainly does with the Heq5 pro and you can store user objects. It's most useful to enter co ordinates, then go through to view object.

Press "User", you'll find "recall object" arrow down or "edit object". Press on edit, you'll get to edit, press 1 and then enter your details.

You then then select either to keep these and ascribe an object number or select view. You can also PAE to centre the target.

Recall will let you see your saved list of user targets.

In addition "Utility" scrolled down will give your present position which you can move around. You'll find this comes straight up in the User menu.

Best ensure that you're 3 star aligned , or accurately aligned nearby to get accurate results from entering coordinates.

Enjoy.

Nick.
