stevend
Earlier this evening I located my scope at the bottom of the garden to catch the 3 day old moon. A nice earthshine and some great views of Mare Crisium with wonderful shadows along the ridges near the Yerkes and Greaves craters. Well worth a look see before the Moon gets too low. barkis
The moon can deliver some wonderful sights during it's transition through the phases Steven.Lunar observations will continue to a very worthwhile subject for telescopic scrutiny.Reports by lunar observers are always welcome, and serves to inspire others. It would be very sad if the moon was to become neglected as body for study. After all, it made sir Patrick famous.Best Wishes.Ron.
