An off the cuff ISS image

Recommended Posts

I was camping at Clumber Park last week and happened to notice that the ISS was coming over at 9.02pm on the 18th with about 10 minutes notice (was just having a browse online and stumbled across it).

So quickly plonked the camera on the tripod and had a go at shooting it as it went over and after stacking it this is what I got. Not bad consdering I hadnt even shot it in RAW mode - just jpeg - no darks and just quickly did a manual focus on jupiter and snapped 6 images of 5 seconds each at iso800 at 30mm with the standard kit lens. You'll have to excuse the approaching cloud, nothing I could do about that!

was very impressive watching it whizz past Jupiter!

edited to add:

decided that picture looked rubbish, so ran it through DSS again and had another play and have got this version instead, which I think is nicer.
