Halcyon
Saw the ISS rising in the west tonight whilst out observing Jupiter. Manager to latch on to the orbit direction and tracked it looking through the viewfinder. The shape with the solar panels etc was really clear. Never managed to track it before. Absolutely delighted tonight! I know it's not astronomy...but it's up there!
oldpink
I know it's not astronomy...but it's up there!why not its in space, maybe a bit closer than other objects we view, and it has an orbit so I'd class it as astronomy
Halcyon
Old pink,Your avatar of Jupiter was exactly how it looked tonight in my dob. Stunning sight with all the bands so clear. Managed to squeeze a bit more out with a few filters too.

altendalton
Just after the first pass of the ISS last night (April 15), I caught another object in my binoculars by chance, much fainter than the ISS and moving south to north directly overhead. Does anybody know what this object was?
AndyWB
Satellite probably. If you use the heavens above website you might be able to identify it. It helps to know the exact time, and where in the sky it is.http://www.heavens-above.com
