Best 100º eyepiece for ED80

Hello,

 I have a SW ED80 refractor and some 1.25" ep. including a zoom eyepiece.

I think that a 100º can be a good eyepiece but , which maybe the best? for that kind of magnification can be best results ?

Hi,

A joker answer... Ethos 21mm... Always IMHO the most used EP with my scopes... Even E13mm with a 80mm refractor.

Or similar ES 100 or 82 degrees to. I`m very happy with my ES 30mm 82degrees and my megrez 72 refractor.

The simple and easy answer to your question is

A Televue Ethos.

A more precise answer will need some feedback from you: What is your budget? What are you intending to view with this 100 degree EP? What do you find the viewing through that zoom you have? Why do you think you need 100 degree FOV? etc,etc

If you only have the ED80 and are looking to spend the amount needed for a good 100º eyepiece i think the money would be better spent on a better scope for visual.

The ED80 is good for imaging, but for many faints objects it comes short with the small light gathering.
