Caradon Observatory Open Days - 21st/22nd April

Recommended Posts

In celebration of International Dark Sky Week, we are hosting a couple of open days at Caradon Observatory on the 21st and 22nd April from 3:00PM onwards. If any of you would like to join us you'd be most welcome. Attendance is by arrangement only please as we have limited parking at the site. Contact details are available here.

If the weather is kind to us we will observe the Sun during the afternoon and the planets in the evening, with perhaps a little light imaging. Regardless, there will be a rolling programme of presentations in the lecture room so that people can come and go as they please, pitched towards non/beginner astronomers. There will also be some children's activities such as the building and launching of paper rockets and a crater formation simulation.

Hopefully we can have a couple good days at the observatory. :)

KoCS.
