For fullframe camera you should go for this:

http://www.optcorp.com/sky-watcher-adapter-canon-camera-m48-s20300.html

http://www.optcorp.com/m48-extension-tube-30mm-2-od.html

If you buy the flattener/reducer for the ED80 you won't need the M48 extension.

The same adapter can be used for both cameras.

Buy the 1100D instead of the 1000D. The 1100D is much better :)

Hi Neil,

The first thing you will need is a Canon EOS to T adapter this fits all the current cameras, if you are using the skywatcher flattener then this should screw onto it.

If you use the scope without the FF then you will need one of these http://www.firstlightoptics.com/adaptors/skywatcher-2-inch-t-adapter.html this fits into the eyepiece holder and the camera T adapter fits on the other end, you need the 2" extension this gives to allow for the removal of the diagonal otherwise the drawtube extension will be near its end stop.

Just remembered that the ED80 is threaded at the focusser so the the link in the post above is what you will need.
