So, a friend of mine has taken a slight interest in my astronomical ventures. And he once said that it would be cool to have something small and affordable on his balcony (which is huge).

Now, I'm just curious about your opinions of it, if anyone has one. Is it any good? My friend knows all about not expecting Hubble-like images and so on.

I've had the chance to use one and was impressed by both the optical and mechanical quality for the price. Best suited to low power wide angle views but would just about stand 100X on the Moon.

I have just purchased the slightly more expensive 100p of the same model and love it. I haven't used the 76 so can't offer a comparison but all I can say is since i bought it the scope has had a heck of a lot of useage and i love it
