what software?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just need a bit of advice.

Today I modded my webcam (lifecam 3000 hd) have tested it on my scope aiming at targets about 500yds away and all good.

Hope to try and capture some video tonight.

My question is, should i download registax? this seems the way to go. Or is there a better alternative?

and also wondering what video capture software would be best? something easily compatible with registax?

thx in advance...

try SharpCap or Firecapture both are commonly used by members here and is free

for stacking, Registax or autostakker

also get PIPP or Castrator to centre and prepare your video before stacking

all of the above are free and easily found with google search

A lot of people use Sharp Cap to control and record video on a webcam and use Registax to then stack the video. Oh and PIPP is great for centering the image and cutting down on the frame size to the object size, thus reducing your input video size.

There are a few others which I'm sure will get mentioned, but these seem to be the first to be listed.
