DMK camera woes

I've just brushed off my Imaging Source DMK 21 with the 618 mono chip after a long winter break. For some reason I now can't get the computer run the camera. On both fire capture 2.3 and K3CCDtools the preview screen freezes. On a couple of occasions I've even had the blue screen of death. I can't get the camera to load the camera on Windows WDM drivers so l'm stuck with native TIS drivers. Anyone any ideas what might be causing these problems and how to solve it?

Does it happen on other computer too? If yes then it may be hardware problem in the camera. If not - some driver issues on Windows.

Had a few freezing problems with mine found to be the USB cable even though it was the one that came with the camera hope this helps

I think I would strip out all the original drivers and do a clean installation of the camera software Michael. From memory you need to install the drivers and the QVideo software?
