Hello mate welcome , I too am from South Devon , and like you am fairly new to all this. I got my new scope a week ago and managed to get it outdoors ONCE last night!!! but it was well worth the wait ......Look forwards to cloudless skies tonight ( as if ) ...Cheers Pete

Hi Nikonman, welcome to SGL from another South Devon resident in Totnes.

Like many posters I use Metcheck and Sat24 and have found them to be pretty accurate.
