woland
Hello! So recently the weather has kindly allowed me to take some astrophotos . The target that I chose is very well known, however it is rarely imaged in narrowband. Those are my first 3-color narrowband pictures utilising the 3 filters (Ha, OIII and SII). Hope you enjoy and all comments/suggestions are more than welcome.Modified Hubble PaletteOriginal Hubble Palette (SII=R, Ha=G, OIII=B )Equipment: TS Apo 65Q, Atik 314L+, Baader filters, HEQ5
ollypenrice
Nice. In narrowband some of the structures are very different looking from RGB.Olly
Naemeth
There is clearly a lot of detail in the Hydrogen in M42 (not surprising really since it's an area of a lot of star formation) - the arc of the blue in the oxygen band is really beautiful in both, but perhaps a little more striking in the second You must be pleased with the TS65Q
woland
Thanks TS 65Q is a nice scope and it works well in LRGB imaging, but it is a bit slow (f/6,46) for narrowband work. The great thing about it is that it is a plug-and-play equipment - no need to adjust anything.
sologuitarist61
Prefer the second image, there appears to be more finesse to the image if you know what I mean, more detail. Very nice!
