Cheap scope rain cover?

Missing windows in the cloud at the moment with the changeable weather. Would a heavy bin liner be ok to stop the OTA catching a rain shower when acclimatising? Should it be more breathable ie would condensation be a problem with a black bag?

Any ideas?

Ive used bin bags many times as a short term solution , at Star Parties I've used BBQ covers with success (with a towel wrapped around any electrics)

Motorcycle covers a big enough and waterproof, the better ones have elasticated edges and vents.

I have terrible visions of a gust of wind catching it like a sail and the whole think crashing to the floor. I may be paranoid though
