6sct or 6rc

Just a quick question. I am about to buy a nice long fl scope for imaging the little stuff with my dslr.

The 2 scopes in the title are on my wish list.

Which, in your opinion, would suit the dslr best, I really dont want to use a reducer on either of them, whats the point of buying a long scope and reducing it?

The RC should offer a flatter field for imaging, the SCT will have a curved field without a flattener of some sort. Whether the RC would vignette on your DSLR I can't say without more info.

I read somewhere that the 6sct will vignette on a dslr as the baffle tube is smaller diameter than a 8sct.

The 6rc, from what I have read, wont vignette on a cropped chip.
