Imaging The Trapezium

Being a glutton for punishment thought I would have a go with EP projection.

Seeing in this lowdown direction is very poor for me with LP and thermal haze from buildings.

Setup.....SW 80ED....Baader Hyperion Zoom 8mm with 40mm of extension.....Canon 60Da 4secs@iso 6400

I have made the colour grey scale as the CA from twinkling was real bad.

Anyway just about make out component E and with a bit of imagination I believe F is just there in C's haze.

Managed to get this with the pentax at normal 675mm fl and some post processing:

At the time I was'nt expecting anything of E and F, only the one image, out of a dozen or so had

any vestige of them, then only just.

I have seen an excellent image taken with a Tak Mewlon 300 that shows all of them, even G, I, and H.

Plan is to get by scanning spectrograph pointed at this - possibly at SGL9
