why does my hand held always go back to set up mode when ever i turn it on!!!! and how do i manually scan the sky, after i set up the directional keys dont work!!

The handset always defaults back to set up mode, it doesn't store the time, date or alignment info. To control the mount manually from the handset press button number 2 on the keypad and then increase the slew rate by pressing any of the keys marker 1-9. The maximum speed is button number 9.
