I have bought the Visionary Telesto 1000/114 astronomical telescope. I am trying to find out if I can get the goto system for the tripod, or do I have to buy a new tripod with the goto system fitted."

I highly doubt you could fit a goto kit to an EQ2 ( the mount you have I think? ). You can get an RA motor drive however. The EQ2 is a very basic mount and not at all steady but with the motor drive you can track objects but it will not help you find/goto them.

The EQ1 and EQ2 mounts cannot be upgraded to goto.
