Can I use this with a barlow lens

Ive been looking at a Baader Hyperion Mark III zoomable type lens which is 8-22x I think. But will a barlow still work with this? I'm thinking it will?

Short answer is 'yes', but make sure the high magnification produced is not too much for your telescope and viewing conditions.

I think the Baader zoom is 8 - 24mm.

However, if using a 2x barlow - no real point in using the barlow with the zoom set between 16 - 24mm, it will only produce what's available with the zoom on its own.

If you use the barlow with the zoom set between 14 - 8mm, you will gain magnification not available with the zoom on its own.

Thanks mate, I might just but that and barlow then. Less lenses to carry about and I can just add the barlow when needed, cheers. It's something to consider anyway

One of the Hyperion zooms has a tailor made Barlow to prevent this duplication

Well I have ordered a baader hyperion 8-24x zoom lens and it comes with a 2.25x barlow. Was £248 from fleabay. Rained of work today so am eagerly awaiting the post
