First good night

Managed to get out for a really good night last night. Was staying at my girlfriends house and brought the scope and after New Years celebrations her dad told me Orion was very bright. Got out and got great views of M42 with the 10mm. Had a whack at sketching it but the clouds came in. All in all was out from 1 until 3ish. Praying that the weather clears up by tonight now!

Well I don't know how the weather turned out for you but it's been horrendous all day here in Gloucestershire.

Had a really good night last night as well. But mine was earlier 8 - 10pm... had to come in for New Years Eve visitors! 

Too much rain here tonight... Hope your skies are clearer!

Haven't used my scope for 2 weeks..lost interest since my son passing away,hopefully I may feel like getting into it again soon.Rain rain here though
