First time out.

Hi

Went out for the first time last night. Was looking for Jupiter. Not sure if I found it. Spent the time just using the controls of the scope and getting used to things being the wrong way round, how does that work?

When I had figured it all out I just generally looked about the sky, but did find it hard identifying individual stars. Was I pointing the scope at the correct star I was looking at with the naked eye? How do you know? I guess it will all come down to experience.

It was good to be under the stars and looking up though.

Hi Roni

I have a Skywatcher SK114 EQ1. I fitted and sighted up the Red dot Finder this afternoon, what a difference. I was actually looking at what I wanted. Even found Jupiter. Although was not as detailed as I would like it. Maybe a different eyepiece. I have a 10mm, 25mm and a Barlow.

A better night. Looking forward to more.
