M42 - Orion Nebula

Hi All

a quick pick of M42, was on verge of packing up then noticed over the house orion had popped up so thought id give it a go, hope to revisit sometime soon with more data

20x30s Subs,

20x30s Darks

20x 1/4000 bias,

no flats, ISO 800,

SW Coma Corrector & unmodded nikon D3100.

Nice one and at least you got something, it just rained on me (nothing about this on BBC weather etc) so I packed up and set about drying my stuff indoors when it cleared again......grrrrr. I will give my friend at ECMWF a good kicking when I meet him again after I make him pay for lunch first of course.

Nice image john. nice colour and clear. I was looking at orion tonight. Always enjoy seeing it.

always loved orion best constellation for me, first time i saw this throu a scope this time last year was my lil 70 Celestron travelscope was amazed so wasnt long before upgraded ) started the AP not so long ago think this is my best shot yet not bad for only 10 mins worth of subs will give it ago again soon i think for a longer session
