Celestron OR Revelation Bins 15x70's...???

Looking at Celestron Skymaster and Revelation 15x70 Bins...

Can anyone offer advice...???

Can't comment on the Revelation's, but I have the Celestron Skymaster 15x70s, and am very pleased with the performance.

The plastic tripod attachment is very flexy, and about as much use as a 'chocolate fireguard'.

I bought the metal BC&F one, and its fine.

If I remember rightly the celestrons came out tops in a sky at night mag test.

I hope I'm not asking you questions that you've already considered, but are you going to mount your 15 x 70's on a tripod, or are you hoping to "hand hold" them for scanning around the sky?

A bit of both I hope...but most prob leaning/tripod...worth noting I missed the Celestrons on ebay now anyway...but telescope house have the Revelations for £49 delivered...

I know I will most prob have to buy a new bracket anyway as most supplied at this price tend to ...wobble...

Apparently if you fill the side cavities of the plastic tripod bracket with a bit of epoxy body filler it stiffens it up quite a bit!

Would be interesting to see how you get on with the binos Stevier, as I've been thinking about getting some as well!

Yep, I read that too, and then went out and bought them.
