Hi guys,

Here is one of congested Cepheus star fields, rich with reflection, emission and dust nebulae. I have acquired this data over 2 short summer nights back in August.

In processing it, I have taken special care to try and bring out the broad variety of nebulosity intensities. In lack of special detail in the dusty forms, I liked these features most in this image.

The star 26 Cep is the bright star at the middle-top part of the image (and a faint and blue nebula seems to encircle it), but the more interesting star here is the cataclysmic variable star, V* BS Cep (also known as AAVSO 2225+64) surrounded by the small nebula GN 22.27.6.

I have included two versions:

Non-annotated version:

An annotated version:

Cheers,
Harel
