Rigel Quikfinder

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who recommended that I get myself a Rigel quikfinder (or Telrad) to replace the comedy red dot finder on my Celestron 114EQ. I got the Rigel as the Telrad is too big for my scope and I have finally been able to get a few nights under relatively clear skies to have a play. It is awesome! After months of messing about waving the OTA in the air trying (and failing) to find the moon I have been able to pick out targets straight away and on purpose!! Over 90 minutes last night I had visited the moon, the Pleiades, Betelgeuse, Jupiter and (my most impressive achievement) the Orion nebula! No wonder I was knackered this morning.
