SCT reducers used with APO's

While searching for my triplet i was also looking at buying a reducer at the same time, prices varied from £150.00 - £500 +, i came across a post a while ago on here showing SCT reducer's used on APO's with success it seemed.

I also found a site showing a Celestron SCT f6.3 focal reducer on the Sky-Watcher Equinox 80mm refractor but didn't bookmark it, others expressed an interest on SGL but wasn't sure of the connection so here is the link  if anyone was interested .................  http://www.weatherandsky.com/blog/2013/5/focal-reducer-test
