Gradient removal using Photoshop

Hi all. I'm presently trial running Photoshop and tbh I'm a bit lost I'm pretty sure this will only be the first of many questions but right now I'm wondering if someone can tell me how to remove gradient?

Just get Gradient Xterminator. It's not free but has saved so many shot it's been a godsend.

It does work but like leveye says Gradient Xterminator works a treat. It's much quicker too! There are loads of astro add on for photoshop. I use Gradient Xterminator, HLVG and Noel's astro actions. They make using photoshop and processing a lot easier.

Noel's tools looks quite good. That solves gradients too doesn't it? Or is gradient xterminator that much better that it's worth getting also?
