Naemeth
This scope must have a lot of CA, being an F/4.1 achromat .Has a 2" focuser though, nice FOV of 4.98 degrees with a 24mm Panoptic .Does anyone have one?
Naemeth
Clearly I posted this at the wrong time .
Stu
I have the 60mm version as a finder. Seems quite ok for widefield but not had much time with it unfortunately. Stu
rl
I think the idea is to keep the mag so low that you won't notice...all my experience with F/5 achromats suggests you will be correct. They'e generally ok up to 15-20 times per inch of aperture if you're lucky. RL
Naemeth
I suppose if you are only using it as a widefield scope then CA is not as much of an issue. Good point RL and Stu .
Stu
Yep, bit like the ST80. Quite ok for low power, widefield observing but struggles with higher mags, and not really up to planetary. Stu
