It's been a long time since I took out the ToUcam for catching a planet. But, I thought it's time to try Mars while it's at it's peak. I have lost a lot of webcam capturing savvy. Using a very small chip and getting the settings right are not that easy.

Here's my go from Monday night. It was a clear and cool night. However, all my equipment was covered with dew/wetness when I got done. The image on the laptop seems like looking trough a glass of water.

Taken with a Meade LX-90 (8") @f 20. This is a stack of approx. 600 frames. Sorry there isn't much surface detail...Maybe next time.
