Polar alignment with Polaris or kocab

I have polar aligning with mynheq5 polariscope and Polaris.

However some one mentioned that it's easier to pa with kocab.

Why is it easier?

Is it just as accurate?

Why kocab over Polaris or vice versa?

Also is it the same idea of placing kocab in the small circle or the larger circle on the polar scope?

If your handeset is the same as my NEQ6 with the latest firmware upgrade, there is a option to Polar align without using Polaris, but use any star...doing it this way you do not use the polar scope....

I'm an heq5. I don't have the full goto handset... Everything is driven via my laptop. So I have to use the polarscope.

I think you are meaning the Kocab clock method

you still need to have Polaris NOT Kocab in the recticle otherwise you will not be Polar aligned.

Some people swear by this method. I however still use the method used in the handset.
