Binocular Upgrade

I'm looking for an upgrade on my current binoculars which really are not very good - horrible orange coatings!

I'm looking for a light binocular, probably around 8x40 and looking to spend about £100, but I could probably stretch up to £150. 

Suggestions?

The Optricon 8x42 at GBP 99 from In Focus in Denby Dale would fit the bill.

I have a pair and they are excellent - and light.

They are also waterproof (nitrogen filled) to avoid internal fogging.

I can thoroughly recommend them.

If you want to try them out first then why not take pop over to Denby Dale? It's not far from Leeds and they have a range of bins that you might like to check out.

IMO you will struggle to find an optically and mechanically better 8x40 than the Nikon EX without spending at least £100 more!
