The weather forecast on my iPad WeatherPro app says clear-ish, the Met Office map says clear-ish, but when I step outside I can only make out the brightest stars even after several minutes of dark-adapting (usually I can see a lot more after only a couple of minutes outside).  Wouldn't see much at all through a scope, frustrating.

Just looking forward to ISON and the other note-worthy comets (which don't seem to have made the national news yet) in late November / December, and the return of some winter favourites I can point my summertime expenditure at.
