Aligning AZ-EQ6 in Atazimuth mode

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any idea how you're supposed to align this thing in Alt-Az? The selection of alignment stars, which it appears you have to select from, is very limited and doesn't include any that I can currently see from where I am from.

Surely there is another way?

Thanks folks. Hopefully I can get an answer soon enough to allow me to see a few things tonight, as the skies are finally clear!!
