mars,regulus, and good old jupiter with bino,s

just a small report

woke at 4.am went in kitchen looked out the window clear skys, grab binos 

outside looked at mars and regulus and really looked hard for ison while not

seeing her the view of mars and regulus was superb stayed there for a while hopeing that ison may show as a faint fuz but nowt, then shot over to jupiter smashing view big and bright saw about 3 moons as well,

as it was windy i only used the binos but when i went back in something was saying maybe if i had used the dob ison would have been visible, so next time bins and dobby.

Yep, wonderful morning, lovely Orion up in the south and the sparkling M44 to the lower left of Procyon. Hurrah for all early risers !

Arggggh, I missed it all last night due to house-guests!!!!   I love early risers, and find its such a wonderful time of day.  Well done on those targets and I'm also keen to have a go at ISON.

I might have to get the scope out, despite the in-laws!!!   ha ha ha
