My son and I were out with the scope hunting DSOs at our local darkish site last night and saw about a dozen meteors between approx 9.30pm and 12.00am. Saw a couple of nice ones too - one in particular being a striking blue colour. Each of us also managed to see one pass through the telescope field. Probably would have seen a good few more if we looked for them. On hindsight I think we should have abandoned the DSOs and concentrated on the meteors as there seemed to be quite a show going on.
