Any other lenses you'd recommend for AP?

Yes the CLS filter will fit behind any EF lens, just won't fit with the EF-S type.

One thing I would do to save a bit of hassle later on is to set up early and lock your focus in on Venus if you can, I've spent many a frustrated set up trying to focus on stars you can't see because the filter dims everything.

Is there a Bahtinov option for a simple lens??
