Hi all

Is there such a book that able's you to tick off the things that you have viewed?  Dso's...Planets.. ETC (similar to data books, that trainspotters use).

If not, I think it would be a great asset and keepsake.

What do you think?

Also, how do you keep records?

Don't believe there is anything out there already in terms of a book.  I have seen plenty of software versions like MS Excel and Access database that people have created to log their objects.
I like to image, so my log are the images that I have taken.

I've got a copy of 'Objects in the heavens' that I use that way. I also have an A5 notebook that is my log.

Edit: I've also found that it's not entirely accurate on some of the descriptions. And it's no substitute for a proper atlas. But it isn't bad as a tick-list, and an aid to what might be visible.

Thanks Andy.

Just had a look of "Objects In The Heavens" PDF version, It looks quite good as a tick-list, as you said. Cheers.
