strugling with stars

im trying to learn how to control the stars but finding it hard. is there a way to reduce the amount of visible stars in an image? this is just 40mins worth of data and i dont like the stars in the image theres too many so im finding hard to pull any nebula out.. also is there a guide for star masks anywere with pictures for each step as reference as the one i tried to follow on here doesnt have any pictures as reference
