eyepiece for 80mm f15

Got an 80mm f15 scope. Can anyone recommend a wide angle lens for star hopping. Just got a Televue 32mm plossl, is this a good choice?

Will the scope take 2" eyepieces? if so you can increase the real field of view by using a 2" in your scope. At f15 your scope could use a 56mm and drop the mag down to around 22X which would give you the widest view for star hopping. The 32mm will give you the biggest f.o.v with an 1.25" eyepiece size, so a good option if you cant fit the 2" sizes.

Thanks for the info. I can use 2" eyepieces, but I am glad I haven't made a bad choice with the Televue 32mm plossl.

You will not get much better then a TV 32 plossl without spending significantly larger amounts of money.

The TV 32's are a very nice lens, I have two for my binoculars
