Got this today. Hopefully it'll help me keep the dew at bay in the Dobs. Much quieter than I thought. Much less noise than the hairdryer I was using.

Are you using it just to remove dew or permenantly running to keep dew at bay?

I'll be using it to remove dew. You probably know how difficult it would be to have a dew shield on the 16" !!!! It adds another couple of feet to the beast, very cumbersome. Hard to get something rigid that doesn't weigh a tonne. I gave up ages ago and now just blow away the dew on the secondary with a hairdryer. Noisy, and need 240v extension, plus old hairdryer. This yolk provides nice gentle heat at low noise and can use a portable 12v source. Haven't used it yet but am certain it will be perfect.

I bought on of the 12v camping hobbies and plug it into a duel lighter socket attactchment I have above my dew heater battery.I think a dew shield would also make it even more of a sail than normal.
