Astro Panel - reliability

I've been keeping an eye on astro panel for the last few days because I was planning a lengthy obs session tonight. All week it has said that tonight my area was going to be clear of all cloud. Even right now it says 'clear'. It's half one in the morning btw. It has actually been one of the most cloudy nights with low level mist. How can astro panel get it so wrong. Oh well, there's always next time.

It's not really been much cop lately has it, though we did have a reasonable run for a little while. As for weather prediction I find it best to go by sat24 on a day to day basis.
