Night Vision friendly Laptop settings

Hello Everyone,

My apologies if this is something already well known:

I use Celestia on my laptop to find where stuff is easily when observing. The problem has always been how to protect my night vision whilst using the laptop - I've thought about covering the screen in red see through plastic. But last night the little candle in my head flickered and I just went into the properties of the display and turned down the green and blue leaving a nice red display (in the colour settings on the graphics driver window) - a bit like the old monochrome green screens - except red. It worked a treat and gave a bit of extra handy light as well to find eyepieces etc.
