The Warthog
Hi AllI got the celestron starter eyepiece and filter set and with the exception of the moon filter i'm not sure what filter to use where (red, orange, blue) i have tried them all on the moon and planets but not sure what to be looking for any advice or pointers to other sources of info greatly appreciated.MartinThe ones that work best for me are the yellow, looking at Mars, Jupiter or Saturn, by slightly increasing the contrast on the surface of the planets. I have also found that both the green and the orange filters improve the contrast on the Moon when it is full or near-full.
Pauln
I have the Celestron set too and it came with a leaflet all folded up with the filters explaining what each filter would do. PM me if you would like me to scan it in and email it to you.
