LED Lights And Light Pollution Filters

Hi everyone!

I've heard in the past about LED lights to combat light pollution, but they are a pure white light, not the old sodium yellow, and that's got me wondering about light pollution filters. After all, they are designed only to block sodium yellow light, so wont these new lights be able to get through anyway? Obviously, they will lessen the pollution anyway, reducing the need for filters, but won't they make what remains more of a problem?

Sadly, I think even narrow band filters won't filter out LED lighting.

Looks like the only cure will be living far away from the cities!
