Totally agree Olly. As mentioned, I've been trying to pick up an 8" f8 OO scope for a while for those very reasons :-). I'll get there eventually.

Right on. When I got my 12" f/6 I was blown away by the planetary views. The small secondary really makes a difference. And it was so much easier to use than my 16" f/4.5.

Same here with my 12" F/5.3. Great mirror quality + 21% obstruction + curved secondary supports = great planetary views :grin:
