Pier completed

Finally I've completed my back garden pier :) Total cost just 140. Base = just under a metre cubed (roughly) filled with concrete incl. rebar. The pier itself consists of a 250mm diameter/1.5m length thin walled mild steel vent pipe from ebay (just 15 pound) - 2 rebars - filled with concrete. The pier adaptor (courtesy of sgl member Lenny Lovit) has been plunged in and levelled - at night to ensure accurate north alignment with Polaris. The concrete is still setting so im checking on the hour to make sure the adaptor is still level and aligned. I think i'm going to sleep for days after that. Its quite a big job to do solo. I must've shifted over a ton of building materials and mixing it up in 15L builders buckets was tough too. Saved a bit of money though and it was all good fun :)
