The head will be as important as the tripod -- at 6.5kg, that binocular exerts a lot of torque, especially when pointed near the zenith. A Manfrotto 501 head would be barely adequate. You'd be better off with either a fork mount (the binocular has trunnions on the side for this purpose) or a parallelogram.
