Opinions please.

I have a pair of Skywatcher binoviewers which are great. However, the threaded nosepiece is too large and I am unable to screw a standard 1.25" into the base of the binoviewers without the filter falling out.

I have tried black sticky tape which is not very good but can someone recommend a possible cure for this problem?
