DEEPSKYSTACKER V3 PROBLEMS

Is anyone having problems with version 3 of DSS. I know that Helen & Trev are having problems and I wondered if anybody had found a solution. My V3 will not stack RAW images properly and with jpegs it will stack OK but not align. My old version 2 which I unfortunately dumped work slow but OK. I am at the moment in constant contact with Luc at DSS but have not been able to resolve the problem. I like DSS as it deals with star trails. Is there any other software that will do the same.
