The birth place of my pier&mount and observatory slow build

This is the where it started,at work in a large scrap and recyle yard.

Cost of material £Zero thanks to a good boss,we get material in like rebar steel pipe,plate, milled machined material just need to root through.

Im happy with my finds.

I got 2.4 metre lenght of 7mm thick 100mm & nbsp & nbsp,diameter steel tube.

A piece of milled steel ring perfect match for eq5,some 4mm plate.

Cut and grinding and welding done at work on a industrial welder,finishing reult so far.

So the garden is almost cleared from this to this it was a jungle when we bought it.slowly going forward i decided to have a change and do something on pier & mount to boost my morale.ready for base almost.

After diging the hole for pier mount 3 & half foot and concreting it this left me 6 & half foot out of floor,then a damproof membrane placed on floor,i decided to use all the brick rubble and hardcore concrete dug out of the garden to build the base up to 28 inch,the armoured cable was run in for pwer supply,just need to top it off with soil and grass it,that should give me a base around 8 ft square.

This is as far as have got so far after making a sleeve to old the control unit and hand controller.

All painted.

The wife said that's enough get on with the garden.

That's a good size garden you've got there.

Have you taken the trees down, or just cleared the area between the trees and the house (the second picture looks like it as taken an awful lot closer).

No all 9 conifers we're taken down these we're 90 foot and a sycamore,

One picture was taken from bottom, these are taken from top,the garden is about 120 to 130 foot long 40 foot wide trying to get this done and working 11 to 12 hours a day is draining me, as it shows on my avatar I'm only 22 you know.

No sorry daughter and soninlaw took them,no iwill rephrase that i cut them up i split them i took them round,typical kids.
