Cant setup SW 130p goto

HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi , i am new to astronomy and have recently upgraded a Tasco (laugh) for

the above SkyWatcher 130p GOTO model. I have managed to use this couple of

times, even managed a two star alignment, now after i have input deg

North and West ,on startup below is what it reads , and i cant slew and no

keys work . --

POLARIS HA=09.38

CLOCK=01.10

I have been on SkyWatchers site for the past 2 weeks to get AZ firmware

to update but there is only eq firmware , perhaps this is the problem as i

did update using the eq firmware. Where can i get the AZ rirmware ?

If anyone can help or has a zip file with latest firmware could they please

pm me HELP!!!!!!!!!!

The very latest firmware (3.34) works with both the eq and alt-az mounts and automaticaly selects the correct alignment routine for you. This firmware is available from http://ca.skywatcher.com/ the download page is here http://ca.skywatcher.com/_english/05_service/01_download.php

Thank you very much for replying , think i have found the problem, the handset starts up in EQ mode and not AZ . How do i chang this . anyone ?

benny,you have to upgrade(flash) your handset to correct firmware.you can not choose between az or eq.you need AZ firmware not EQ! this is the correct link for your set up:http://ca.skywatcher.com/_english/05_service/01_download.php?ccid=9
